Holiday-ready Research: what’s new this November

November 24, 2025

As the holidays roll in, we’re wrapping up a bundle of Rally upgrades to make your end-of-year research way easier. This month brings smoother stakeholder collaboration, smarter interview connections, faster participant coordination, and a few delightful extras along the way. Here’s what’s new in November. 🎁

Your interviews, anywhere you need them

We released a set of new API endpoints that make it easier than ever to connect Rally interviews with your broader research and knowledge workflows.

These endpoints open up new ways for Rally customers to:

  • Automatically pull interview recordings or transcripts into tools like Dovetail, Marvin, or Notion for centralized insight management.
  • Trigger automations or workflows when interviews are completed, for example, notifying stakeholders, updating dashboards, or syncing metadata into your research repository.

These updates are a big step toward making Rally even more interoperable across your research ecosystem.

CC or BCC stakeholders to outreach emails

This is helpful when you need to CC AEs, CSMs, or account owner of the participant to keep them in the loop on outreach.

The real power of this feature is the ability to map a Rally property that you create (or pull in from your company CRM), e.g. 'Account Owner', and CC/BCC that property in the email composer. Build this into your email and study templates for easy reuse!

Slide into participant DMs 👀

Recruiting from Respondent’s external panel? You can now chat with those participants directly in Rally using the new Chat tab in your study.

Use it to:

  • Send links
  • Reschedule
  • Coordinate details
  • Answer questions

Track no-shows with 2 new properties

You can now track participant reliability with new No-shows and Show rate % properties, making it easy to filter and segment for more engaged, dependable participants.

How other customers are using this:

  • Filter your next batch of participants with “No-show is less than 3” to only add participants who haven’t shown up less than 3 times.
  • Filter your next batch of participants with “Show rate is greater than or equal to 85%” to get folks who show up ~85% of the time.

Notice a new friend on your Rally Home page?

Meet Ollie, our new Ravioli mascot! Animations are now sprinkled across Rally, including the home page, your “first study” celebration, and even the 404 page (hopefully you never see that one 😉).

Copy+paste incentive links

You can now copy participant incentive links straight from the Incentives or Budgets tab and resend them in seconds.

Observer room invites on the fly

A highly requested observer room update is now live: add or remove observers anytime from the Interviews tab in a study.

Improvements and Fixes
  • You can now update the number of participants for Group Interview time slots after they are created.
  • Group Interviews no longer have a separate total participant cap. Instead, only the per-group participant limit applies, so each group can fill to its intended size.
  • We added new badges to represent participant Contact Status.
  • View upcoming interviews in different time zones directly on your Upcoming Interviews page – no more manual conversions.
  • Participants who complete a study but aren’t eligible for an incentive can now be logged as “Incentive Skipped” for clearer tracking.
  • When you duplicate a study or create one for a template, the date now defaults to the current date.
